Position Summary:
This position requires a candidate with a passion for project excellence, a proactive customer service approach, and the adaptability to support projects across multiple Business Units as needed. As an integral member of the Project and Repairs team, the Project Manager will play a key role in delivering high-quality project management and service for Weight-In-Motion (WIM), Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), and support other business unit projects. This role requires regular customer site visits for technical presentations, strategic solution discussions, and on-site support for installations, inspections, and calibration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Preparation & Management:
- Lead project planning, execution, and commissioning for strategic customer projects, positioning Kistler as a top-tier system/solution supplier.
2. Customer Support & Troubleshooting:
- Serve as the primary contact for customer support, troubleshooting, and technical coordination with external suppliers on system pilots and commercial sites.
- Build and maintain proactive customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Support the development of a best-in-class service operation, contributing to the growth of recurring service revenue.
3. Collaboration & Service Delivery:
- Collaborate with sales, application specialists, and Business Units to develop a high-performance service operation.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, supporting sales in invoicing service efforts to sustain the position’s costs and generate revenue.
4. Strategic Growth & Customer Relations:
- Cultivate strong customer relationships for repeat business and growth within North America.
- Partner with the business unit for strategic development, aligning project management, execution, and service delivery with market goals.
5. Subcontractor & Partner Coordination:
- Manage subcontractors and third-party partners as required, ensuring smooth project execution.
6. Sales Support & Lead Generation:
- Identify new service, system, and component opportunities and forward leads to the sales team.
7. Operational Support:
- Assist Customer Care and Shipping teams to ensure seamless order processing from entry to delivery.
- Support pilot project management and data provision as new products and systems are launched or enhanced.
8. Application Engineering:
- Provide application engineering services during peak service demand or for high-priority customer needs.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in WIM project management, ideally with large-scale transportation or construction projects.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) or civil/road construction preferred.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and relationship-building capabilities; confident communicator with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Must be willing to travel 30-40%.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; willingness to travel 30-40% (domestic and international); valid driver’s license required.
