Key Responsibilities:
As the Chef , you will be responsible for overseeing the entire culinary operation, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, quality, and presentation across all dining outlets. Your leadership and expertise will shape the hotel’s food and beverage offering, creating an unforgettable experience for our discerning guests. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, inspire, and manage a diverse culinary team, ensuring smooth operation of multiple kitchens within the hotel. Provide mentorship and training to kitchen staff, fostering a culture of creativity, professionalism, and collaboration.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Ensure efficiency, cleanliness, and organization across all culinary operations, maintaining operational excellence at all times.
- Food Quality & Consistency: Maintain strict control over the quality and presentation of food across all hotel dining venues, including restaurants, room service, banquets, and private events.
- Budget & Cost Management: Manage food costs and kitchen budgets while optimizing quality and ensuring profitability. Negotiate with suppliers for the best ingredients and prices while maintaining sustainable sourcing practices.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all kitchen operations comply with local health and safety regulations, as well as food hygiene standards. Establish and maintain best practices for food safety, cleanliness, and waste management.
- Guest Satisfaction: Collaborate with the front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction, addressing any guest concerns or special requests related to food.
- Collaboration with Management: Work closely with the Food & Beverage Director and other hotel management to align culinary offerings with the hotel's overall strategy and branding. Participate in menu tastings, promotions, and special events.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fine dinging hotel or high-end restaurant, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- A passion for excellence in food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, in a dynamic environment.
