Position: Chef de Cuisine
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen team and elevate our culinary offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Italian cuisine and a flair for creativity, along with proven leadership abilities to inspire and manage our culinary staff.
Key Responsibilities:
· Hands-On Cooking: Actively work on the line during service, ensuring consistent quality and execution of dishes while mentoring the kitchen team.
· Oversee daily kitchen operations, maintaining exceptional standards of food preparation and presentation.
· Develop and execute seasonal menus that highlight local ingredients and reflect current culinary trends.
· Manage and support kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling to ensure a high-performing team.
· Uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation, ensuring compliance with all health regulations.
· Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a seamless and exceptional dining experience for guests.
· Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and minimize waste to optimize kitchen efficiency.
· Innovate and introduce new dishes that align with the restaurant’s vision and exceed guest expectations.
· Lead by example in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, fostering teamwork and promoting a positive, professional kitchen culture.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-volume kitchen.
- Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as a Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- A passion for food and a commitment to excellence in culinary arts.
