Job SummarynnPerforms radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required.nnEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesnnSupports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.nnPerforms Radiology (x-ray/fluoroscopy) exams/procedures on patients.nnMaintains production and quality of radiograph by following established standards and procedures.nnImplement clinical protocols and policies.nnUse radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.nnCommunicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, and families, as well as staff and physicians.nnInstructs patients for preparation for tests.nnReviews requisition for pertinent information special requests and correct procedure as ordered and reviews physician order for procedure/test.nnAssists front reception with patient information as needed.nnPerforms completion of documentation on patients and completes all required processes to assure no late charges.nnMaintains medical supplies in all rooms and required stock items and prepares and cleans rooms. Maintains and prepares all equipment/instruments in exam rooms.nnParticipates in coverage for the 24 hour/7day Radiology operation, including holidays, nights, weekends, and call.nnOther duties as consistent with this role.nnJob Requirements: (education and experience/preferred and required)nnJob Knowledge and SkillsnnKnowledge of radiologic standards, requirements, and regulations.nnKnowledge of radiologic safety, protection, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations.nnKnowledge of radiologic equipment uses and maintenance.nnAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughly.nnAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.nnProficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record.nnMaintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality.nnComply with all HIPAA regulations.nnCustomer Service Oriented. Lifting/carrying frequently up to 35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
