Job Title: Finance Analyst

Job Location: Charlotte, NC 28255 (Hybrid role)

Duration: Contract for 5 Months with possible extension


Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst/ RWA Calculation Analyst to support Consumer Risk-Weighted Asset (RWA) calculations and ensure compliance with Basel regulations. The ideal candidate will have robust technical expertise in SQL and VBA coding, coupled with a strong understanding of Basel RWA rules. This role is pivotal in managing month-end and quarter-end processes, implementing new calculation solutions, and transitioning to enhanced systems.


Key Responsibilities:

Consumer RWA Support:

  • Execute month-end and quarter-end RWA calculations using Saber, the internal application for computations.
  • Conduct ad hoc research on data variances by running SQL code and performing detailed data analysis.
  • Basel Rule Compliance:
  • Review and interpret Basel regulations to ensure calculations align with the rules.
  • Document compliance, including detailed SQL code reviews, to substantiate alignment with Basel requirements.

Code Implementation and Transition:

  • Develop and implement new SQL and VBA code to support Basel 3E (B3E) calculations.
  • Manage the migration of existing calculations from Saber to Saber Connect, a new application.

Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and reliability of RWA calculations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of processes, calculations, and code implementations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

  • Minimum 5 years of SQL experience, with a proven track record of writing efficient and complex queries.
  • 2-5 years of experience with Basel rules and capital regulation interpretation, particularly for RWA calculations.
  • Proficiency in VBA coding for process automation and enhancement.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

Additional Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate findings and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
