Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Mechanical Reliability Engineer to enhance the performance and reliability of our mechanical systems and equipment. This role focuses on reducing downtime, optimizing maintenance strategies, and implementing reliability best practices. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to drive continuous improvement across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reliability Strategy Development: Design and implement reliability programs, including predictive and preventive maintenance plans.
- Failure Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) to address equipment failures and improve performance.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze equipment performance metrics and recommend solutions to enhance reliability and reduce operational risks.
- Maintenance Improvements: Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop and refine procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Technology Utilization: Apply reliability engineering tools such as condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and thermography to predict and prevent failures.
- Equipment Design Review: Evaluate new or modified equipment designs to ensure reliability and maintainability.
- Training and Support: Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff on reliability engineering principles and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (required).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mechanical reliability, maintenance, or equipment engineering within industrial or manufacturing settings.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in reliability tools such as RCA, FMEA, and CMMS.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including rotating and static equipment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification.
- Experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or related continuous improvement methodologies.
