Contract Duration: 6-months

Worksite Location: Midland, TX


What you’ll do as a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist:

  • Partner with hiring managers and HR professionals to develop effective talent acquisition strategies and serve as a strategic advisor throughout the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to understand hiring trends, anticipate staffing needs, and proactively address recruitment challenges.
  • Maintain regular communication with hiring managers to provide updates, answer questions, advise on recruitment strategies, and offer insights to improve the process.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition Coordinators to ensure background checks and other contingencies are completed on time.
  • Coordinate recruitment strategies with fellow Talent Acquisition team members to optimize efforts, create efficiencies, and collaborate on talent sourcing opportunities.
  • Develop targeted search strategies, including recruitment approach, timelines, and candidate profiles, to maintain a passive talent pipeline.
  • Advise hiring managers on identifying top talent and strategies for engaging candidates to build strong relationships.
  • Champion diversity initiatives and help implement strategies to ensure a diverse candidate slate.
  • Screen talent pools for qualifications, skills, job fit, salary expectations, career goals, and work authorization to identify qualified candidates.
  • Build and maintain internal and external networks to support passive sourcing efforts, targeting key industries, companies, associations, and educational institutions to create candidate pools.
  • Collaborate with HR Partners and Talent Management to identify potential internal candidates for specific roles.
  • Lead initiatives to drive improvements and efficiencies in the recruitment process.
  • Promote the company’s employer brand to maintain a reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Represent the company at career fairs and recruiting events when applicable.
  • Assist with other recruitment tasks and related projects as needed.

What you’ll bring to the Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist role:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a large corporate environment.
  • Experience recruiting for both high-volume hourly and salaried positions.
  • Experience with candidate screening, evaluation, scheduling, and interview participation.
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), with a preference for Workday.
  • Customer-focused approach to the hiring manager, candidate, and overall recruitment experience.
  • Proficient in using social media platforms and recruitment tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, and others.
  • Proven ability to attract and recruit diverse talent pools.
  • Skilled in sourcing both active and passive candidates using innovative methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Immigration sponsorship and relocation are not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Workday as an ATS.
  • Strong rapport-building skills with a proven track record of successful candidate engagement.
  • Expertise in using interview techniques to assess candidates’ qualifications and provide actionable feedback to hiring managers.
  • Working knowledge of OFCCP requirements, employment laws, and hiring practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage diverse personalities.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple partners and stakeholders.
  • Confident and professional demeanor.
  • Strong sense of urgency with a proactive attitude.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
