We are currently adding to our estimating group. The estimator is responsible for the management of all estimates related to the activities on a project. This includes leading the estimate during the project development phase, planning the estimate efforts, interfacing with estimate team members, working with subcontractors for piecing inputs, estimating consolidation to final cost, leading the estimate conformance at award, and supporting change orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pre-contract estimate development
- Understand contract requirements
- Working with safety, engineering, procurement, traffic, QA/QC, and construction
- Develop the estimate plan in accordance with the execution and sales strategy
- Lead estimate kick off meeting
- Setup and maintain estimate files
- Ensure the estimate follows the request for quote, and sales strategy.
- Communicate with subcontractors to receive quotations for their requested scope along with development of an accurate bid tab for use in the selection process
- Ensure that the estimate efforts occur in a proper sequence, within the scheduled period
- Responsible for ensuring that the estimate is complete, correct, and accurate
- Generate or assist with the proposal development.
- Lead internal estimate reviews
- Communicate basis of estimate to the project team
- Conform estimate to “As Sold” Contract Requirements
- Assist with change order estimates

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of related work experience, preferably tank knowledge and experience
- Experience reading plans, specifications, and terms & conditions
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
Preferences:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Previous Industry experience
- On-site experience in related construction
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- API 653, API 620, API 650, Section VIII, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural knowledge are all pluses
