Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the on-site operations of industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will excel at coordinating crews, managing subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Direct all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource management.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets or exceeds specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Manage subcontractor schedules and performance, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, project progress, and any changes to the construction plan.
  • Client Representation: Act as the on-site representative of the company, maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other team members to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in industrial construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role.
  • Experience in managing large-scale manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution facility projects is highly preferred.
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required; a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of industrial construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore) and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Certifications:
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Other relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, LEED) are a plus.
