Overview
A well-established leader in pipeline solutions, specializing in wet utilities such as sewer, water,
storm drain systems, and fire lines, is seeking a Chief Estimator. This company has been

The Chief Estimator will lead the estimating team, develop accurate project budgets, and
oversee the overall estimating process. This role involves training team members in the use of
estimating systems and ensuring the accuracy of all cost assessments. The position is based on
site in Corona, California, with relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus available for eligible
candidates.
Responsibilities:
• Assign roles and tasks to the estimating team, ensuring accurate calculations of scope,
materials, and labor for each project.
• Use approved costing methods, data, and systems to prepare detailed estimate
breakdowns suitable for project management use.
• Lead the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates, ensuring all costs—such as
materials, labor, and equipment—are included for wet pipeline projects.
• Identify and assess project risks, communicating them to the team.
• Gather and analyze subcontractor and supplier information and pricing.
• Prepare conceptual budgets with limited information and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors,
suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Review general conditions, schedules, scopes of work, equipment, labor projections, and
site logistics for each project.
• Support the Project Management team by facilitating information transfer for successful
proposals, assisting with work plans, and participating in site visits and project reviews.
• Maintain up-to-date data on construction and material cost trends that may affect project
budgets.
• Participate in industry and community relations efforts to enhance the company's
reputation.
Qualifications:
• At least 10 years of leadership experience in estimating, with five or more years focused
on wet pipeline projects.
• Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, construction, or a related field is
preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
• Familiarity with B2W (Bid 2 Win) and Planswift is a plus.
• Ability to break down complex construction operations into logical sequences of
activities.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
simultaneously.
• Proficient in reading and understanding civil plans and complex project deliverables.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain work
product details clearly.
• Valid CA Driver’s License and good driving record.
