PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties involved in the administration and delivery of employee benefits to Cape Cod Healthcare Employees.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates benefits administrative functions through data entry, copying and computer application use
- Communicates proper instructions for Benefit and HR-related tasks to employees and applicants in a clear and professional manner
- Maintains primary responsibility for answering the Benefits hotline and Benefits group email
- Administers and processes employee reimbursements for various programs, including but not limited to tuition benefits
- Administers, processes and coordinates benefit plan enrollments and terminations into HR systems and to benefit vendors
- Maintains primary responsibility for filing of all benefits-related paperwork
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of departmental programs and acts as a point of contact to provide program information to employees
- Administers HR systems within the department and ensures accuracy. Advises HR staff regarding HR systems and potential policy or procedural changes
- Processes key components of HR systems and bears responsibility for activities that directly affect employee benefit data
- Participates in departmental projects and offers input for the continuous improvement of HR/Benefit practices
- Ensures regulatory agency and internal policy compliance through diligent adherence to HR practices
- Works to further professional growth and Benefits knowledge

- Maintains the integrity of confidential data, including protected health information
- Performs other administrative functions and work-related duties upon request from management
- Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINI N
- Possesses three to five years of relevant experience or educational equivalent (Bachelor's degree)
- Follows department policies and procedures. Makes limited decisions based upon existing data, benefit policies and compliance requirement
- Ability to use and learn basic and intermediate level systems and to generate report
- Intermediate understanding of terms and concepts relevant to job practice
- Intermediate understanding of how job practices impact specific systems within the organization
- Interacts with patients and staff regularly in a professional manne
- Produces required documentation within the department and may produce other documentation upon request
- (Preferred) Experience with PeopleSoft Benefits Administration is preferred
Scheduling Details: 40 hrs. per week, Monday -Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, No Weekends, No Holidays
