Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Developer with expertise in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance domain to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java or Pega development, demonstrating the ability to design, build, and implement robust applications that drive business efficiency and innovation. This role will be based in either Montreal or Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Development: Develop and customize applications according to business requirements.
2. Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Design and Development: Design and develop workflows, user interfaces, decisioning strategies, and integrations.
4. Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
5. Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and system specifications.

Required Qualifications:

1. Experience: More than 5 years experience as a Pega or Java Developer.
2. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Pega methodologies and frameworks.
3. Development Skills: Experience in designing and implementing workflows, declarative rules, decisioning strategies, and user interfaces.
4. Integration Skills: Proficiency in integration services (SOAP, REST, etc.) and databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
5. Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex applications and provide technical support.
6. Communication: Excellent communication skills.
