Engineering Manager – Hybrid/Remote in the Arlington, TX Area
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for driving technical excellence and managing dynamic teams? We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multi-discipline engineering teams and oversee the technical execution of client projects. This is a hybrid/remote role based in the Arlington, TX area, with flexibility to meet business and client needs.
In this role, you’ll blend technical expertise with leadership skills, managing engineering teams to meet schedule, cost, and technical objectives while fostering employee development and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-discipline engineering teams to meet project goals.
- Coach, train, and develop team members to achieve their best.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Perform complex engineering analysis and document findings in professional reports.
- Review designs, calculations, and deliverables for technical accuracy.
- Organize and present internal training programs to elevate team capabilities.
- Estimate project work hours and assign resources effectively.
- Perform responsibilities of a Project Engineer as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
- 15+ years of experience in engineering analysis and design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Must have experience in metals/steel industry, consulting, and preferred civil/structural or electrical engineering discipline.
- Expertise in multiple technical areas and client-facing experience.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and attention to detail.
Physical and Travel Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary or actively move around as needed.
- Occasional travel to client sites, which may involve exposure to various environmental conditions (e.g., climbing stairs, extreme temperatures, or moderate noise levels).
