Our client, a premier third-party administration firm specializing in retirement plan consulting, design, and administration services for businesses and their financial advisors, is seeking an entry level Retirement Plan Administration Specialist to be the first point of contact for transactional-based services their clients.
Job Title: Retirement Plan Administration Specialist
Location: Maple Grove, MN | onsite
6 month contract to hire
Pay: $20 per hour | $45,000 salary once converted

Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Respond to questions from clients and referral sources in a timely manner
- Be an advocate for TSC in all interactions
Transaction Administration
- Accurately interpret plan documents to determine eligibility for participant transactions (loans, distributions, etc.)
- Intake, review, process, and complete transactions in a timely manner
- Enter distribution information on required tracking lists and software (e.g. 1099-R, internal checklists, etc.)
- Calculate, prepare paperwork for, and process Required Minimum Distributions
Plan Administration
- Coordinate with other service providers (e.g. financial advisor, investment company, CPA, payroll, actuary, etc.)
- Continually develop and increase knowledge of retirement plan rules and regulations (attend webcasts, department meetings, pursue credentials, continuing education, etc.)
- Review team member’s distributions for accuracy
- Send required notices and distribution packages
- Process mandatory distributions
- Set up automatic rollovers for eligible participants
- Assist with requests from other employees
Development
- Identify opportunities for improvements to our company
- Participate in working groups to enhance work product and internal processes
- Maintain tools and resources (e.g. company intranet, databases, etc.)
- Contribute to changes that positively impact the organization
- Perform other tasks and projects assigned
