Client Overview: Our client, a well-established law firm in Manhattan, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Word Processor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in professional services, particularly those with law firm experience, to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, format, and proofread various documents, including legal briefs, contracts, reports, and presentations, ensuring they meet company standards and client specifications.
  • Utilize advanced features of Microsoft Word and other office software to efficiently process and format documents.
  • Assist attorneys and other professionals with document production, including preparation of client communications, internal memorandums, and other official documents.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency in all document-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure document flow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage and organize electronic files and ensure documents are stored appropriately.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive documents and client information.
  • Assist in document revisions, including formatting, proofreading, and version control.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional services environment, with a preference for law firm experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other office software, including advanced formatting and document production techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with legal professionals and support staff.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and document formatting is a plus.
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
