Job Description:
Our client, a prominent law firm based in Redwood City, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal Group Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background in a law firm setting, supporting paralegals and attorneys with various day-to-day operations. This is a 6-month contract role with the potential for extension, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Paralegal Group and legal team.
- Assist with organizing and managing legal documents, including maintaining case files and records.
- Draft and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports as needed.
- Help with preparing and filing legal documents with courts or other agencies.
- Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate internal communications.
- Assist with tracking deadlines, filing requirements, and other critical dates.
- Perform general office duties, such as answering phones, managing mail, and handling office supplies.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, including preparing materials and ensuring all necessary documents are available.
- Manage and update case management systems with relevant information.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and other third parties under attorney supervision.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in a law firm or legal environment.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
