Controller Position in Janesville Area

We are working on a Controller position for a large manufacturing company. The company has been growing quite a bit and has seen sales boom recently, so it is an exciting time to get in with them. This position will also get to take advantage of a hybrid schedule and a huge bonus!

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the accounting/finance department, including an organizational structure that is adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
• Work with site leader and manufacturing manager to develop capital expenditure proposals yielding demonstrative financial improvements
• Maintain a system of internal controls over accounting transactions.
• Issue timely and complete financial statements to leadership
• Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting/close to Corporate
• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
• Provide financial analyses
• Coordinate capital project proposals
• Proactively provide in-depth analysis of product cost standards and actual results discussing reasons for results and methods to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
• 7+ years of manufacturing accounting experience required
• SOX experience REQUIRED
• Prior leadership experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
