An international multi-consultancy company are seeking seasoned and highly qualified Commissioning Engineers to join our team for a transformative HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) project in East Africa . Role Overview
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be at the forefront of commissioning, testing, and ensuring the operational readiness of complex HVDC systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering this project to the highest technical and safety standards.
Qualification and Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 15 years in commissioning and operational activities, with significant expertise in HVDC systems.
- Proven track record in high-voltage equipment testing, system troubleshooting, and commissioning. Certifications in HVDC technology or related fields are highly desirable.
- Monitor the master commissioning Plan for HVDC control and protection to include checks for transportation damage.
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary commissioning teams and coordinating with stakeholders to meet critical milestones.
- Oversee and execute the commissioning activities of HVDC systems and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Provide expert technical guidance and resolve complex issues during the commissioning process.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for all commissioning activities.
- Proficiency in English language.
