About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer to lead its premier golf and country club. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, hands-on leader with a proven track record in team and culture building, and a strong focus on member and team member experience. This role is pivotal in maintaining the club's legacy of success and requires a strategic, visionary leader who can partner with the Board of Directors to create and execute a strategic vision that aligns with the club's mission and values. The GM/COO will be responsible for all aspects of club operations, including financial management, and must possess exceptional communication, facilitation, and team-building skills.Candidates for the GM/COO position at the company should have 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within a high-performing private golf and country club, or be considered rising stars in the industry. A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management is preferred, and industry certifications such as CCM are encouraged. The role demands a professional with a genuine passion for hospitality, a strong ability to mentor and develop a professional team, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The new GM/COO will be expected to engage with the Board, conduct a full HR review, and create a 'State of the Club' report within the first 90 days. Initial priorities include understanding the unique culture of the club, fine-tuning the member experience, and establishing relationships with external partners for the successful execution of capital projects.
