About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Business and Aviation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership in the areas of teaching, research, and service, supporting faculty and staff in their professional development, and serving as a resource for the economic development of the local community. Specific duties include planning and directing the instructional administration of the college, managing the college's budget, raising private donations and grant funds, representing the college to internal and external entities, and establishing strategic directions for student and program performance. The Dean will also be involved in professional services for accrediting agencies, reviewing academic programs, resolving enrollment and faculty/staff issues, and serving on the Board of Directors of community and economic agencies.Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience in teaching, research, and service at a four-year college or university, as well as a minimum of five years in administrative academic leadership. An earned PhD or DBA in a business or related discipline is required. The ideal candidate will have a record of securing external funding, be familiar with contemporary enrollment management practices, and have a strong track record in personnel management. Experience in a business, community, economic, or entrepreneurial organization is preferred, as is knowledge of flight school regulations and requirements. The Dean will also be responsible for supervising various academic and operational units within the college.
