About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its organization. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, visionary, ambitious, and collaborative leader with a strong background in executive search, consulting, and convening. The Executive Director will be responsible for shaping the future of the organization, including identifying strategies to increase visibility and awareness, expanding and diversifying revenue streams, and promoting programs and initiatives. This role also involves overseeing the delivery of high-caliber, unique, and engaging experiences for members and visitors, as well as fostering ongoing growth and engagement. The Executive Director will be the primary face and spokesperson of the organization, representing it to a diverse network and membership.Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a proven track record in a leadership role, with experience in operations, and a deep commitment to the values of the organization. The role requires a leader who can work closely with the Board of Directors, lead a large staff, and effectively manage all activities. The ideal candidate will have a background in outdoor education, conservation, or a related field, and a passion for promoting responsible recreation and stewardship. Strong communication skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships, and a strategic mindset are essential. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred, in a relevant field such as environmental science, nonprofit management, or business administration.
