About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to provide enterprise-wide leadership in the establishment and maintenance of information security policies and standards. The CISO will be responsible for executing IT risk management processes, guiding security threat detection and response efforts, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's information resources. This role involves the development and implementation of a strategic, long-term information security strategy, as well as leading the creation of comprehensive information security policies, procedures, and guidelines. The CISO will also be tasked with monitoring and maintaining compliance with various regulations and policies, and with fostering a security-aware culture through training and education initiatives.Applicants for the CISO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and at least 10 years of experience in managing an information security area. The role requires deep technical knowledge in information security and risk management, as well as expertise in IT and information security standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service ethic, outstanding communication skills, and a proven track record of leading a high-performing team. Experience in a senior leadership role, with accountability to executive management, is essential. The CISO will also be expected to have a strong understanding of higher education policies and best practices related to information security. Professional certifications in the field are a plus.
