About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Institutional Advancement to lead the formulation and execution of comprehensive fundraising strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the meticulous management of foundation records and reporting, as well as the stewardship of foundation assets. This role involves fostering relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to enhance the college's financial support network. The Executive Director will also serve as the managing director of the foundation, overseeing its budget, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Collaboration with various college departments and advocacy within local, state, and regional networks are essential to align the foundation's goals with the institution's mission.Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in fundraising or fund management, and 3 years' of supervisory experience. Advanced knowledge of legal requirements in fundraising and trust administration, as well as experience in financial or budget management, is required. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and at least 7 years' of experience in institutional advancement, preferably within a college, university, or nonprofit organization. Proficiency in donor cultivation and stewardship strategies, and experience in managing significant budgets, are also preferred. The role demands excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational ability, and the capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
