About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for its Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, a unique facility dedicated to the recovery of at-risk, undersocialized dogs, many of which come from cruelty cases. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for animal welfare, capable of fostering a healthy, collaborative team culture. This role involves managing a large team, overseeing all operations, and ensuring the efficacy of the rehabilitation program. The VP will be responsible for program oversight, team leadership, and cross-team collaboration, and must be adept at managing a substantial budget. The ideal candidate will have a background in animal welfare, with experience in team and budget management, and a commitment to the core values of the organization.Key responsibilities for the Vice President include program oversight and leadership, team management, and cross-team collaboration. The role demands a candidate with exceptional leadership skills, the ability to inspire and represent the team, and a talent for conflict resolution. The VP will be expected to maintain a positive attitude, be a compassionate animal advocate, and have a genuine interest in leading and interacting with people. A background in animal welfare, particularly in a shelter setting, is strongly preferred, as is experience with animal cruelty cases. The candidate should be a superior problem-solver, with strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with behaviorally and medically compromised animals. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience in team and budget management.
