Job Description

We are working with a prestigious San Francisco-based law firm to find an insurance defense legal secretary to join the team. This is a contract to permanent opportunity and is fully onsite in the Financial District.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support : Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Drafting and Proofreading : Draft and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Calendaring : Manage the attorneys’ calendar, scheduling appointments, court dates, and meetings efficiently.
  • Filing : Execute filing procedures, ensuring compliance with legal protocols and deadlines.


Required experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in litigation and insurance coverage, preferably at a mid-size or large law firm
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional proofreading skills and a meticulous eye for detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough working knowledge of and experience working and filing within the Federal and California court systems
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor
