A boutique litigation law firm located in downtown Minneapolis with a busy and growing HOA law and common interest community practice seeks an experienced HOA Law Attorney . With over 30 years of combined expertise, the firm provides tailored legal services to homeowner associations, condominiums, townhomes, and cooperatives. Their practice focuses on governance, compliance, litigation, collections, and empowering HOA boards to manage their communities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Advise HOA boards on interpreting governing documents and complying with Minnesota law.
• Represent clients in real estate and civil litigation, including disputes, collections, and insurance claims.
• Handle insurance disputes involving property damage, coverage issues, and claims.
• Assist with contract negotiation and the resolution of complex community challenges.
• Work on civil litigation matters, including contractual disputes, maintenance issues, and enforcement of community rules.
• Collaborate with boards and management companies to develop cost-effective, tailored legal solutions.
• Provide educational tools to HOA boards to help them fulfill their responsibilities and enforce governing documents effectively.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in real estate and/or civil litigation.
• 1+ year of experience working with homeowner associations or similar clients.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• A desire to grow expertise in HOA law and serve the unique needs of common interest communities
