Job Description

Onward Search is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a dynamic school team in Plymouth County, MA . This in-person opportunity is a full-time position, starting mid-January 2025 and continuing through the remainder of the school year.


Details You Should Know:

  • Location: In-person (no virtual or hybrid option)
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours/week
  • Caseload: TBD
  • Grade Levels: K-5
  • Start Date: January 20, 2025
  • End Date: End of the 2025 school year


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions for students with speech and language impairments.
  • Implement treatment plans and document student progress.
  • Assist in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and attend IEP meetings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and therapy logs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other service providers to ensure students’ needs are met.
  • Provide support for speech and language assessments when necessary.
  • Assist with the management of communication devices and other speech-related equipment.


Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license in Massachusetts.
  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with elementary-age students in a school setting is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for helping students reach their full potential.
