Onward Search is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a dynamic school team in Plymouth County, MA . This in-person opportunity is a full-time position, starting mid-January 2025 and continuing through the remainder of the school year.
Details You Should Know:
- Location: In-person (no virtual or hybrid option)
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Hours: Up to 40 hours/week
- Caseload: TBD
- Grade Levels: K-5
- Start Date: January 20, 2025
- End Date: End of the 2025 school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions for students with speech and language impairments.
- Implement treatment plans and document student progress.
- Assist in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and attend IEP meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and therapy logs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other service providers to ensure students’ needs are met.
- Provide support for speech and language assessments when necessary.
- Assist with the management of communication devices and other speech-related equipment.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license in Massachusetts.
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Prior experience working with elementary-age students in a school setting is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
