Onward Search is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Special Education Teacher to join a dynamic school team in Essex County, MA . This is a full-time, in-person role starting mid-January 2025 and continuing through the remainder of the school year.

- Location: In-person (no virtual or hybrid option)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:40 am - 3:40 pm
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Caseload: Up to 15 students
- Grade Level: Preschool
- Start Date: January 20, 2025
- End Date: End of the 2025 school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for preschool students with diverse needs.
- Utilize play-based and developmentally appropriate instructional strategies.
- Adapt curriculum to meet the individual needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Provide a structured and nurturing classroom environment that supports social-emotional growth.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive student support.
- Conduct assessments and use data to track student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Promote inclusion by fostering meaningful interactions between students with and without disabilities.
- Maintain compliance with special education regulations and documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid DESE Special Education Licensure in Moderate/Severe Disabilities (PreK - 2 or PreK - 8) required.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and special education practices.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
