Onward Search is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Special Education Teacher to join a dynamic school team in Essex County, MA . This is a full-time, in-person role starting mid-January 2025 and continuing through the remainder of the school year.

Details You Should Know:

• Location: In-person (no virtual or hybrid option)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:40 am - 3:40 pm
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Caseload: Up to 15 students
• Grade Level: Preschool
• Start Date: January 20, 2025
• End Date: End of the 2025 school year

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for preschool students with diverse needs.
• Utilize play-based and developmentally appropriate instructional strategies.
• Adapt curriculum to meet the individual needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Provide a structured and nurturing classroom environment that supports social-emotional growth.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive student support.
• Conduct assessments and use data to track student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Promote inclusion by fostering meaningful interactions between students with and without disabilities.
• Maintain compliance with special education regulations and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid DESE Special Education Licensure in Moderate/Severe Disabilities (PreK - 2 or PreK - 8) required.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and special education practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
