Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain processes to ensure efficient logistics and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with a focus on continuous improvement and process enhancement.

*This is a 6 month contract position

Duties

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize logistics and inventory management.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to procure materials efficiently.
• Analyze supply chain data using tools such as SAP and SQL to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment processes to ensure optimal inventory turnover.
• Conduct regular assessments of supply chain processes to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of supply chain activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• The persons main responsibility will be to support the manufacturing plants request for support on material availability to meet production.
• Working with internal and external suppliers to meet the production requirements.
• The person will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve and implementing processes and solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
• This person will also be given assignments with work with production facilities on cost savings opportunities in freight, logistics, operations, etc. as defined Accounting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and practices.
• Proficiency in SAP and SQL is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and experience in continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
