Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage hospital accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulations regarding financial reporting and hospital operations.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, cost management, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets and optimize resource allocation.
- Prepare detailed financial statements, reports, and presentations for senior leadership and board meetings.
- Manage audits, both internal and external, and implement necessary process improvements to ensure compliance.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to hospital-specific accounting standards and healthcare financial practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Proven expertise in hospital financial processes, including cost reporting and reimbursement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and healthcare-specific financial regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficient in financial management software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
