Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager


Position Overview: The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence within the organization by identifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing initiatives that enhance performance, reduce waste, and improve product quality and delivery. This role will require a hands-on approach to leading change initiatives, training teams, and managing cross-functional improvement projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement, leading change initiatives across the organization.
  2. Gather and analyze operational data, such as cycle time, yield, and throughput, to set priorities and use appropriate improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  3. Lead value stream mapping exercises to identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve process efficiency.
  4. Drive the implementation of process improvements and cost-saving measures that enhance quality, reduce lead time, and improve delivery performance.
  5. Develop and maintain 5S audits and daily routines to ensure adherence to lean principles, including Gemba walks and visual management systems.
  6. Mentor and coach leadership teams, including project leaders, managers, and supervisors, in continuous improvement methodologies.
  7. Provide training to employees at all levels on lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
  8. Lead cross-functional teams in Kaizen, Kaikaku, and Six Sigma initiatives to drive improvements.
  9. Recommend and execute strategies to improve value-added activities within operations.
  10. Work independently with significant autonomy, using judgment to achieve desired results while adhering to organizational policies.


Qualifications:

  1. Strong facilitation and motivational skills, with the ability to lead groups at all organizational levels.
  2. A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
  3. A respected technical expert with experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
  4. Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
  5. Proven track record of driving organizational change and improvement.
  6. A background in technical fields such as engineering, operations, or business management, with relevant training and development in continuous improvement.
  7. Proficient in utilizing operating systems, spreadsheets, databases, presentation tools, and word processing software.
  8. Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field; Master's degree preferred.
