Production Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Production Manager to lead the setup and management of test lines for large-array Open Radio Units (ORUs). This role is critical in partnering with Contract Manufacturers to construct and validate product test setups, ensuring seamless integration with production processes. The ideal candidate will also excel in implementing production databases and monitoring key quality metrics, including Key Performance Indicators and First Pass Yield. This position is perfect for a proactive leader with a strong technical background who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Test Line Setup and Management:
- Design, build, and implement test lines tailored for large-array Open Radio Units in collaboration with Contract Manufacturers.
- Oversee the validation and optimization of test setups to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
Collaboration with Contract Manufacturers:
- Work closely with CMs to align production and testing processes with company standards.
- Provide on-site support and hands-on troubleshooting to address manufacturing and quality challenges.
Database Implementation:
- Develop and maintain production databases to streamline test line data collection, performance tracking, and reporting.
Quality Metrics Monitoring and Analysis:
- Regularly monitor and analyze production metrics, including KPIs, FPY, and defect rates, to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to maintain high product quality.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance production quality.
- Introduce and champion Lean Manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.
Team Leadership:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies across all production activities.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (equivalent experience will be considered).
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in production management, with a focus on large-scale product manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in setting up and managing test lines for complex hardware systems.
- Experience working with large-array Open Radio Units or similar products is a significant advantage.
- Strong track record of collaborating with Contract Manufacturers.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing quality metrics (e.g., KPIs, FPY, defect rates).
- Knowledge of database systems and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, or Excel).
- Familiarity with manufacturing and quality methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
