General Operations Manager – HVAC Service
Position Overview: Local company is looking for a dynamic and visionary General Operations Manager to oversee and lead our $20+ million HVAC service operations in Atlanta. As the cornerstone of our management team, you’ll be responsible for steering operational excellence, optimizing team performance, and driving growth while managing a team of over 50 professionals. Your leadership will set the tone for a high-performing, collaborative environment, ensuring efficiency and profitability at every level.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Leadership & Strategy
- Inspire and guide a team of over 50 HVAC service professionals
- Design and implement strategies that drive operational efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and fuel revenue growth.
2) Operational Excellence
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to best practices, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Optimize processes, from resource allocation and inventory management to service delivery, to ensure maximum productivity and service quality.
3) Financial Management
- Oversee budgeting, P&L management, and key financial metrics, consistently achieving profitability targets.
- Drive initiatives that reduce costs and increase revenue, all while maintaining a high standard of service.
4) Team Development
- Lead recruitment, training, and mentoring efforts to build a motivated, skilled workforce.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence in customer service.
5) Customer Relationship Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, promptly addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve customer retention and attract new business.
6) Growth Initiatives
- Identify and lead business development opportunities, including expanding service offerings and exploring new markets.
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to align operational capabilities with broader business goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience, ideally within the HVAC or service-based industries.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and financial statements.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- A track record of leading diverse teams and driving organizational change.
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (preferred).
