TRC’s client is a leader in mechanical contracting, engineering, design, and construction looking for a Mechanical Designer on a full-time, direct hire basis in the Springfield, MA area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute complete mechanical designs for design-build/design-assist projects ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to project guidelines.
• Compile documents, including plans and specifications, for build by the project management team.
• Present means and methods of design and constructability to other designers, project management, and coordinator staff.
• Determine timelines for estimates, securing, and final design, ensuring clear communication to all involved parties.
• Conduct client site visits to understand needs / requests and complete estimations.
• Collaborate with project management and other teams to develop and improve engineering ideas.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design work
• Proficiency in Revit
• Plus in AutoCAD MEP
• Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing systems
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites regionally
• Exceptional communication, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative team-based environments
• Prior estimating experience preferred, but not required
