Job Description

Green Key Resources is looking for a highly skilled and experienced project manager to lead commercial construction projects for a national general contractor in Houston. As a commercial project manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of commercial construction projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, teams, and client relationships, ensuring all projects are delivered to scope, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction and a strong ability to solve problems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the successful delivery of commercial construction projects.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring adherence to schedule and financial targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and services necessary for the successful completion of projects.
  • Prepare regular reports on project status, including financials, schedules, and resource management.
  • Coordinate project meetings and communicate with all stakeholders to keep projects on track.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years minimum experience in project management, preferably within the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management methodologies, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar tools).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
