We are seeking an HR Specialist to manage payroll for a multi-state workforce and oversee employee benefits administration. This role involves ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, addressing payroll and benefits-related inquiries, and maintaining accurate employee records.
Responsibilities:
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on time, including wage calculations, tax deductions, and adjustments
- Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings, including enrollment, updates, and troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and employment regulations
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training opportunities
- Plan and coordinate the annual open enrollment period
- Oversee enrollment, renewal, and termination processes for all benefits
- Collaborate with HR and other departments on special projects and initiatives
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and collaborate with internal team members to resolve issues efficiently
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a human resource focused role with strong exposure in payroll and benefits
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in HRIS and payroll systems comfortable learning new technology
- Strong internal and external communication
