Job Summary

Join our dedicated team in Charlotte, NC, where you will perform radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. Coordinate daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.

Essential Functions
* Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
* Document patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
* Confirm patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
* Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
* Consult with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
* Select and operate equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrate correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
* Maintain appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

Skills and Physical Requirements
* Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.
* Handle equipment and monitoring supplies.
* Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff.
* May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel in operating radiographic equipment.
* Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work, and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients.
* Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary.
* May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment.
* Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.

Education
* Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA Approved facility required.
* ARRT (R) required.
* BLS (AHA or ARC) required.

Certifications & Licenses
* BLS
* CVT, RTR, RCIS, or RECS

Additional Information

*Specialty/Unit:* Cath Lab

*Years of Experience Required:* 2 years of Cath lab experience IR experience

*Certification/Licensure/Additional Requirements:* Level 1 Code STEMI Trauma Center.

*Additional Notes:* Weekend ONLY

Bonuses
* $15K Sign-on Bonus for FT employees – paid out in two installments 90 day/1 year (pay period after those dates)
* $5K Relocation Bonus – paid out within 45 days
* $5 critical bonus on top of base rate based on regular hours worked $8/hr call pay (averages 100 hours/month)
* If called in, it will be base pay overtime $17.66/hr (call in rate)
