San Mateo Surgery Center has immediate opening for a Part-Time or Full-Time *Receptionist.* The receptionist ensures that all patients, surgeons and visitors are greeted in a timely and friendly fashion. The receptionist is responsible for maintaining work area in a pristine fashion and will perform or assist with clerical/secretarial functions within the office. _*Please note that the role will become available in January 2025. *_


*Essential Responsibilities *will include the following, and other duties may be assigned.
* Front-office duties include telephone coverage, patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, new patient registration, checking insurance eligibility and obtaining authorizations, collecting co-pays filling out and submitting insurance forms, sorting mail etc.

Looking for service oriented, professional team player, with ability to work independently. Reliable consistency. Able to multi-task. Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records.

Professional appearance and attitude.

*Qualifications Required:*
* Licenses or Certifications: None
* Total Education, Vocational Training and Experience: High school graduation or equivalent. Medical terminology, computer and office equipment skills required.

*Machines/Equipment Used*: Computers, copiers, faxes, headsets, postage meter.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
