Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Steilacoom, WA

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for SY 24-25. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs by fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Provide direct instruction in small group or one-on-one settings based on students' needs.
• Conduct assessments to measure student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Create and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices and federal/state special education regulations.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Special Education Endorsement.
• Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred).
• Must have experience with Middle or High School
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
