Overview:
The Claims Representative will be responsible for managing the status and follow-up of insurance claims, focusing on obtaining updates and ensuring timely processing of accounts. This role primarily involves working within insurance portals to track the progress of claims, following up on outstanding accounts, and handling collections efforts. The Claims Representative will not be responsible for working on denials or submitting appeals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and follow up on the status of insurance claims.
- Process claims and assist with collections for outstanding accounts.
- Utilize insurance portals to obtain updates and resolve issues related to claims.
- Maintain a daily workload of 50-60 claims.
- Communicate with insurance providers to gather necessary information and ensure the timely processing of claims.
Qualifications/ Must Haves:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using insurance portals and claim management systems.
- Ability to manage a high volume of claims efficiently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
