Our client, a leading global consumer-centric medical device company is looking for an Electrical Engineer. This is your chance to work with a global company with nearly 13,000 employees located in 30 countries. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, prototyping, and verifying electrical and electronic designs for complex product development projects.
Location: Fairfield County, CT
Schedule: 7 am-4 pm hybrid Monday-Friday
Pay: $125k-$160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of electrical circuit schematics for complex electromechanical systems and analyze/simulate designs to assess key parameters and sensitivities.
- Design and debug electrical systems in compliance with 60601 EMC and safety standards.
- Test and characterize complex PCB functional blocks to support firmware development, running firmware to facilitate code and circuit debugging.
- Create formal verification test protocols, conduct tests, and document verification test reports.
Qualifications
- Proficient in performing first principles circuit calculations and simulations (SPICE simulation) to validate concept feasibility.
- Expertise in analog and digital circuit design and layout.
- Strong background in hardware/software integration and debugging.
- Experience in medical device development with a solid understanding of Design Control guidelines as outlined by FDA, MDR, ISO, CSI, and other standards.
- Demonstrated success in launching complex medical device electronic systems into production.
- Hands-on skills in building circuits, soldering, repairing, servicing, and fabricating concepts, fixtures, and prototypes.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in development of complex electrical systems.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or combination of related fields.
- Advanced degree is strongly preferred.
