Our client specializes in refining and processing crops grown by approximately 700 cooperative members, they are one of the largest processors of its kind in the United States. They are seeking a Environmental Engineer to join their team!

Title: Environmental Engineer

Location: Boise, Idaho

Salary: $95-120k

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ensuring daily facility operations comply with air quality, water quality, solid waste, hazardous waste, and other environmental regulations.
• Collecting, recording, and analyzing environmental monitoring data and other relevant information as required by permits or regulations.
• Preparing environmental reports and notifications promptly, as required by permits, regulations, or regulatory agencies.
• Assisting in the preparation of environmental permit applications for existing facilities and new process operations.
• Evaluating and recommending improvements to pollution control equipment and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize environmental impacts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial) or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing facility.
• In-depth knowledge of EPA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience in water treatment, sugar industry, oil and gas industry, or pulp and paper industry is a plus.
