Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our client's team and play a critical role in managing customer extract file requests, resolving billing issues, and ensuring seamless operations. If you have experience in the healthcare industry , a knack for problem-solving, and proficiency in tools like SQL and Excel, we want to hear from you!


Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll:

  • Manage the intake and processing of customer extract file requests , ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are in place.
  • Perform data entry and maintain the request system with accuracy.
  • Conduct balancing and verification activities to create robust audit trails.
  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on the extract platform as required.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and document issues such as over/underpayments or setup discrepancies.
  • Escalate billing and setup issues to management, collaborating with senior staff and supervisors to resolve invoice errors.
  • Track, identify, and report trends, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams across multiple departments to ensure effective communication and resolution.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues as directed by senior leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Billing, Finance, Operations, or Information Technology , particularly in the healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with Self-Funded Billing , Data Warehouses , and healthcare data such as eligibility, medical claims, pharmacy claims, and lab results.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel , Word , PowerPoint , Outlook ).
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with audit trails , UAT processes, and operational workflows in the healthcare sector.
  • Ability to track trends and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
