Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HRIS Director to lead the development, implementation, and management of our Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and compensation programs. This leadership role requires deep expertise in HR systems, process improvement, and team management to deliver impactful solutions across the organization.


Location: Philadelphia, PA

Pay: $100,000 to $110,000


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead administrator for Ellucian Banner HR, analyzing system configurations and optimizing business processes to meet institutional needs.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives for HRIS systems, reporting, and workflows, ensuring efficient and accurate data management.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and administration of comprehensive compensation programs, policies, and procedures for faculty and staff.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting to support workforce analytics, compliance, and performance management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, ITS, and external vendors to ensure successful HRIS integrations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Develop and communicate the organization’s compensation philosophy, pay structures, and salary grades, ensuring alignment with market trends and equity standards.
  • Oversee intercompany transactions, monthly reconciliations, and audits to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Provide leadership, training, and guidance to HRIS team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Act as the HRIS security officer, managing system access and ensuring compliance with data security protocols.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to maintain competitive and equitable compensation practices.
  • Prepare and submit required reports for external entities and regulatory compliance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of HRIS and compensation experience, with proven expertise in Ellucian Banner HR systems.
  • Strong management and leadership experience with a focus on team development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and a deep understanding of HRIS functionalities.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Knowledge of compensation practices, regulatory requirements, and collective bargaining agreements in a higher education environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
