Title : HR Assistant
Hours : 1st shift around 8-5 M-F (onsite position)
Pay : $50-60k
Under close supervision, performs human resources activities and carries out responsibilities that are varied in nature, working in several or all HR functional areas. Develops knowledge in matters relating to functional areas which include, but are not limited to: compensation, benefits, operations, organizational development, staffing, administration, workforce planning, people development, employee and labor relations, and HRIS. Collaboratively resolves basic problems which require limited subjective judgment.
DUTIES :
- Supports data entry team with auditing of data entry items in the HR system such as new hires, terminations, and salary changes.
- Answers general HR questions from employees via email and phone.
- Performs diversified clerical and administrative activities.
- Makes files on all new personnel, photographing and assigning employee number.
- Records changes on all employee status as necessary, e.g., change of address, departmental transfers, rate increases, terminations, etc.
- Processes and records information, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data; attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
- Processes employment applications; and assisting in other employment activities.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum Qualifications:
A.S. in a related field or comparable experience in lieu of degree, plus 2-4 years related experience. A B.S. may substitute for 1-2 years of related work experience.
Differentiating Qualifications:
B.S. in HR or HR Management, experience in administration/HR.
