Job Description:

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for managing the flow of goods and services, ensuring efficiency in purchasing processes, and maintaining supplier relationships. This role plays a critical part in inventory management and involves close collaboration with multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and process purchase orders (POs) for materials and supplies.
  • Execute material requirements planning (MRP) suggestions and monitor system integrity.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to review order statuses and resolve discrepancies.
  • Communicate with internal teams, including shipping, receiving, and leadership, to support inventory and sourcing efforts.
  • Support sourcing of materials and other ad hoc purchasing activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3–5 years of supply chain, purchasing, or PO management experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and intermediate Excel knowledge (pivot tables, formulas).
  • Soft Skills: Strong communicator, collaborative, and comfortable interacting with management and cross-functional teams.

Additional Details:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
