Background: is currently undertaking a multi-year ERP modernization program for migrating and upgrading on-premise Oracle E-Business Financials, and Oracle PeopleSoft Human Capital Management Applications, and Kronos Workforce Management System to the latest SaaS-based Oracle Cloud ERP Platform as part of business and technology transformation.
The Oracle Cloud Integration Lead will oversee, designing, implementing, and managing integration solutions between Oracle Cloud applications (e.g., Oracle ERP, HCM, SCM) and other third-party or on-premises systems. This role ensures seamless communication, data flow, and
system interoperability within an enterprise environment and optimize the use of Oracle Fusion Cloud capabilities.
This position resides in the ERP Transformation Program Office of the Information and Technology Services (ITS) of Chicago Public Schools.
Responsibilities:
- The Integration lead has a well-rounded profile with the right combination of significant and progressive professional expertise in System Integration architecture, Integration strategy and developing integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud and other Middleware between CPS Legacy/Third-Party system and Enterprise Cloud Applications.
- Lead the design and development of integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Provide technical leadership for Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle SaaS/PaaS platforms.
- Oversee, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Oracle integration solutions.
- Lead and manage integration track, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Create and maintain integration solutions to connect Oracle ERP, HCM, SCM, or other Oracle modules with third-party systems (Hexagon, ServiceNow, Grants Now, Data Warehouse, Banks, B2B, EDI etc..).
- Ensure compliance with Integration best practices, security, and performance standards.
- Ensure implementation of OAuth token-based authentication for Integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify integration gaps and build solutions to meet their requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and third-party partners for integration testing and deployments.
- Manage performance tuning and issue resolution for integration processes.
- Prepare/ review technical documentation, including integration workflows, solution architecture, and support guides.
- Collaborate with business units to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Qualifications:
Key Qualifications:
- Expertise in SaaS implementations including Oracle cloud ERP, HCM, SCM and EPM applications.
- Expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA Suite, and Oracle APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud integrations and developments for large integration projects.
- Working knowledge of VBCS and PCS and integrating the same with cloud applications using OIC adapters.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP web services, XML, JSON, and XSLT.
- Experience to develop and maintain EDI transactions including 810, 820, 846, 850, 855, 856, 860, 870, 204, 219, 214, 210 and 997 using Oracle B2B or OIC B2B
- Requires hands-on experience on EDI Implementation with Trading Partner setup and configuration using OIC B2B/ Oracle B2B
- Proven experience as an Integration Lead with expertise in third-party integrations.
- Experience in implementing OAuth token-based authentication for Integrations.
- Experience with Oracle Visual Builder and other Oracle PaaS services.
- Understanding of cloud security, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Ability to provision and manage multiple Oracle Integration Cloud instances.
- Experience with various development methodologies such as Waterfall, and Agile (SCRUM).
- Familiar with systems integration security, user provisioning, and single sign-on technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle SOA, Oracle Integration Cloud and EDI solutions, standard documents, and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, FTP, SFTP, HTTP and HTTPS protocols
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Type of Education Required:
- Graduation from an accredited College or University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems related field or equivalent experience.
- Preferred certifications:
- Oracle Cloud Architect
- Oracle Integration Cloud Specialist.
- Oracle Fusion Middleware Certified Implementation Specialist.
Type of Experience and Number of Years:
- Minimum of 10 years of development experience with Oracle Cloud Integration cloud and other middleware services.
- should have worked on at least 4 end-to-end implementations with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), with deep functional knowledge of integrations and business processes related to Oracle SaaS ERP, HCM, SCM, etc
- Should have expertise in design, development, and deployment of custom integrations using OIC integrating with Oracle SaaS, Partner products, and third-party systems
- Minimum 10 years of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, HCM, EPM and SCM Implementations.
