*Responsibilities:*
* *Evaluate Patient Needs*
* Assess patients' physical, mental, emotional, and developmental conditions.
* Identify limitations that impact daily activities and overall quality of life.
* Use standardized assessments and clinical observation to create individualized treatment plans.
*2. Develop Individualized Treatment Plans*
* Create therapy plans aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily tasks.
* Establish short- and long-term goals based on patient needs and aspirations.
* Design interventions that address fine motor skills, sensory integration, and cognitive functions.
3. *Implement Therapeutic Activities*
* Use functional exercises and therapeutic techniques to improve strength, coordination, and dexterity.
* Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs, orthotics, or assistive devices.
* Incorporate creative and meaningful activities (e.g., art, cooking, or writing) to engage patients.
4. *Promote Independence in Daily Activities*
* Train patients in essential life skills, such as dressing, bathing, cooking, and managing work tasks.
* Help patients regain the ability to participate in hobbies, school, or work.
5. *Educate Patients and Caregivers*
* Provide education and guidance to families and caregivers on how to support the patient's needs at home.
* Teach proper techniques for at-home exercises and use of assistive devices.
6. *Monitor Progress and Adjust Plans*
* Regularly evaluate patient progress and document improvements or challenges.
* Modify treatment plans as needed to ensure patients are meeting their goals.
7. *Collaborate with Healthcare Teams*
* Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care plans.
8. *Advocate for Patients*
* Assist patients in gaining access to community resources, such as support groups or vocational training.
* Advocate for workplace accommodations or modifications when needed.
9. *Maintain Records and Compliance*
* Keep accurate records of evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress.
* Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational policies.
10. *Stay Informed and Develop Professionally*
* Keep up-to-date with advancements in occupational therapy practices and technologies.
* Participate in continuing education opportunities and professional development activities.
*Requirements:*
* NC OT License
* BLS Certificate

Pay: $48.00 - $52.64 per hour
