About Our Client: Addison Group is hiring for our client, a higher education institution located in downtown Chicago.
Job Description: We are seeking a part-time Academic Records Specialist to support the implementation of a new student information system. This role will work with the Office of the Registrar to ensure the accurate entry and maintenance of academic data required for the system launch. This is a part-time, hybrid role offering flexibility in scheduling.
Key Responsibilities: - Configure course sections within the student information system following detailed specifications.
- Review and update course and section data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Populate course history tables to maintain accurate academic records.
- Set up and apply rules for course prerequisites to manage student registration eligibility.
- Process and apply academic exceptions to individual student records and degree audits.
- Collaborate with the team to meet key milestones in the system implementation project.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the Registrar's Office.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
- Five or more years of experience in academic records or registrar roles, with a focus on back-end data management.
- Familiarity with configuring student information systems; experience with Colleague preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
Additional Details: - Schedule: 20 hours per week; flexible scheduling options available (e.g., three full days or part-time across Monday-Friday).
- Contract Duration: 3-6 months.
