We are a prominent General Contractor specializing in commercial, industrial, and multifamily construction projects, seeking a dynamic Director of Field Operations to oversee and elevate our field operations.

This high-impact role is integral to ensuring the seamless execution of construction projects through leadership, innovation, and collaboration. You will take ownership of field operations, leading teams to deliver on safety, schedule, quality, and productivity while driving a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As the Director of Field Operations, you will:

• Inspire and Lead Teams : Mentor and guide field teams to achieve peak performance, focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Strategize and Coordinate : Collaborate with area superintendents and project managers to ensure timely and effective execution of projects, chairing safety and subcontractor meetings.
• Drive Operational Excellence : Implement best practices in field operations, address challenges proactively, and foster continuous improvement across all job sites.
• Ensure Compliance and Quality : Uphold safety standards and lead quality programs, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions for project success.
• Optimize Workflow : Monitor schedules, address delays, and ensure timely submission of critical documentation, including payroll, daily reports, and material tracking.
• Cultivate Relationships : Build positive, results-driven partnerships with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Your Expertise

We’re looking for a results-oriented professional with:

• Leadership Mastery : A proven ability to manage and develop field teams, identify individual strengths, and address opportunities for growth.
• Operational Savvy : Expertise in overseeing multiple construction sites, resolving conflicts, and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Technical Proficiency : Strong knowledge of industry-standard software, including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to drive technology adoption in the field.
• Collaborative Spirit : Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset to align stakeholders and drive project success.
• Travel Flexibility : Willingness to travel across Southeast Michigan to monitor and manage various sites.

Your Background

To excel in this role, you bring:

• At least 5 years of experience as a General Superintendent or similar role with a Commercial General Contractor.
• A robust background in ground-up construction projects with extensive site work.
• A track record of success in managing supervisory, field, and labor operations.
